The export of cannabis products start jump on 2023, first 23% in 2023 then 160% in 2024 and in 2025 and expect another 160% for 2026

Germany is the main export market, with 71% of exports in 2025. Other markets like Poland and Denmark start rise.

New markets are rising and others in big decrease like Israel.

Accumulated since 2016 we see that Germany has been the biggest market for Portugal export of cannabis products.

Portugal exported 210 180 Kg of cannabis products, 70% of this export quantity was made in 2025 and 2026 first half.

Using an estimated sales price of cannabis product, we estimate the value of cannabis exports. The value of export was 24o Million € in 2025 and is estimated to be 370 Million € in 2026.

The number of ACM, cannabis products approved for the Portuguese market had a big increase in 2024 and now seems to be stopped.
