Still we can prove it.
0/0 = 1/2
Here is the proof,
We can write down 0/0 as
0/0 = 100 – 100 / 100 – 100
It can be further derived as
= 10 x 10 – 10 x 10 / 10^2 – 10^2
= 10 (10 – 10) / 10^2 – 10^2
= 10(10 – 10) / (10 – 10) (10 + 10)
(10 – 10) is common in numerator and denominator , so we can cancel it.
= 10 / (10 + 10)
= 10 / 20
= 1 / 2
So 0/0 = 1/2
The actual FACT
Although 0/0 = 1/2 is proved to be correct. We cannot substitute this proof in any other form of calculations.
So what is the drawback b
ehind this proof?
We all know that zero is neither a positive nor a negative number. So mathematically zero cannot be derived further. However true the derivation is, its wholly an invalid proof. So our derivation is just
a bit of cheating.
